The Cedar Falls High School project in Cedar Falls, IA, is a landmark development designed to meet modern educational needs, accommodating 1,400 students in innovative spaces for academic and extracurricular activities.
MODUS played a pivotal role in ensuring functionality and sustainability by designing systems for optimal indoor air quality, energy efficiency, and reliable utility services.
Our MEP design featured advanced HVAC systems for consistent heating, ventilation, and air conditioning. We incorporated energy recovery ventilators, high-efficiency chiller/heaters, and chilled beams significantly reducing energy consumption in alignment with sustainability goals.
Our electrical design established a robust infrastructure, including energy-efficient LED lighting systems, automated controls, and support for extensive technology use in classrooms, labs, and common areas.
Our plumbing  design focused on water conservation, incorporating low-flow fixtures and efficient landscaping, while ensuring reliable supply and drainage for specialized facilities like science labs and athletic venues.
The project’s geothermal heating and cooling system, with three wells each at 1,000 GPM capacity, offers an energy-efficient temperature regulation solution.
Collaboration with architects, contractors, and school district representatives allowed seamless MEP system integration, promptly addressing challenges to meet all functional and aesthetic needs.
The new Cedar Falls High School reflects our commitment to sustainable, efficient, and reliable MEP design, creating a state-of-the-art educational facility.
